Ray Morley (Jean Valjean) is well known to Brisbane and Redland audiences for his superb performances in tenor roles.
Ray commenced his theatrical experience with MATES performing in various revues,
musicals and comedy shows in 1994. His performances include- "Annie Get Your Gun", "High Society", "Carousel" ( Mr Snow), "The Sound of Music" (Captain VonTrapp), "The Merry Widow" (Camille De Rossien), "My Fair Lady" ( Pickering), "My Fair Lady" (Alf Dolittle) and "Jesus Christ Superstar." Brett Coates (Jean Valjean), came into musical theatre through dance. He commenced dance training under Calvin Von Reinholdt in Melbourne at the age of 18.
While in Melbourne, he performed in many shows such as: "West Side Story", "Guys and Dolls", "Applause", "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and "Chicago". Brett's superb tenor voice was discovered when he appeared in the chorus of "West Side Story" for Phoenix Ensemble. Since then he has had lead roles in : "A Chorus Line", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "La Cage aux Folles", "Godspell" and "How to suceed in business without really trying." Top Back |

Paul Green (Javert), the avid golfer with a powerful tenor voice has only recently fulfilled a life-time desire to perform.
Javert will be his greatest challenge to date. Paul has been most recently seen in "How to succeed in business without really trying" (Twimble & Mr Wally Womper),
"Godspell" (singer/actor, clarinet/guitar player), "La Cage aux Folles" (Monsieur Dindon), "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "The Stadium" (Norm). Paul is a talented musician
and plays clarinet for "Classic Winds Symphonic Band" and is a member of a covers band "Odd'z and Ann'z." Top Back |

Patrick Carswell (Javert), became interested in theatre when he coordinated a school Rock Eisteddfod in1994.
Since then he has appeared in a number of musicals including "Call Me Madam" (Queensland Musical Theatre),
"HMAS Pinafore" (Ignations), "Anything Goes"(Ocean Theatre Company) and "Belle of New York".
He has also adapted the classic H.G.Wells novel "The War of the Worlds" into a multimedia musical. Patrick is also
interested in writing scripts and has already produced "I Love Knightlife" and "Treasure Island". His current long term
project is a large scale musical based on Bram Stoker's "Dracula". Top Back |

Adam Marcombe(Thenardier)Over the years Adam has worked in all mediums of film, television and theatre. Originally from Melbourne, Adam's professional career started after obtaining a postion
with Melbourne's Dance Theatre. He then toured with Michael Edgley in the Australian Tour of Sesame Street Live; played the Melbourne season "AIDA" with the Victorian State opera;
toured with the Oz Connection to Japan; performed in Carols by Candlelight at the Melbourne Myer Music Bowl; in the Ford Laser launch; "The Beauty and The Beast" Pantomime; Melbourne Motor Show;
and played Bitelle in "La Cage Aux Folles" with festival Theatre Company Melbourne. Since joining Phoenix, Adam has performed and choreographed in numerous shows.
For the Gold Coast Arts Centre, he performed in their production of JukeBox and played Andy Lee in their production of "42nd Street". For Phoenix he has performed as Phaedra in "La Cage Aux Folles", Dick in "Hotel Sorrento"

Anne Crestani plays the shared role of Madame Thernardier.
Anne, since moving to the Gold Coast has appeared in many major productions including "Stepping Out", "Godspell", "Guys and Dolls", Jesus Christ Superstar, "La Cages aux Folles" "A Chorus Line"
and most recently she appeared as Heddy La Rue in "How to succeed in Business without Really Trying. She has extensive dance experience training with the Ramsley Academy of Dance,
Sydney and then with Paradise Performers, Happy Feet and the Connie Mathot Academy on the Gold Coast. Anne also sings with the covers band "Odds & Anne's". Anne's superb alto voice and strong acting ability give Madame Thenardier a special presence. Top Back |

Narelle Schmalkucheshares the lead of Madame Thenardier .
A consummate performer, Narelle has most recently been seen as guest vocalist in the Gold Coast Arts Centre's production of "Classical Pops"
and was principal vocalist and dancer in GCAC's "Jukebox".
She has played numerous leading roles in both amateur and professional shows including Grace Farrell in "Annie",
Frenchy in "The Music from Grease", Monica in "Living with Lady Macbeth", Daisy Hannigan in "Biloxi Blues" and Kim Macafee in " Bye Bye Birdie".
Studying singing, speech and drama and dance for many years, Narelle has also been highly successful in winning numerous awards

Sarah Pratt (Cosette), has a Graduate Diploma in Voice from Australia's leading musical institution, The Queensland Conservatorium.
Sarah, a recent arrival from New Zealand, has a stunningly pure soprano voice that will thrill audiences. She has previouosly sung in the following productions:
"The Beggars Opera" (Vixen), "Die Verschworenen" (Iselle), "The Devil to Pay" (Lucille) - all at the Wellington Conservatorium, "The Sound of Music" (Maria),
"L'enfant et Les Sortileges" (Owl), "Studio Opera", "The Mikado" (Yum Yum), "Die Zauberflote" (First Boy). Classical repertoire includes
Handel, Mozart, Canteloube, Schubert and Menotti.

Cardiac scientist, Christopher Thomas, will play the romantic lead of Marius. Chris has a beautiful lyric tenor voice and has trained
at the Australian Academy of Music. He has previously performed in a rock band "Fuel Gauge" and in a duo act "Hunter and Smith".
This is Chris' first role in musical theatre and the production team from Phoenix are highly impressed with the quality of this young man's voice. Chris

Nikki Arnott (Fantine) has most recently been a full time singer with Top 40 dance band
"Celebration" performing regularly in top class venues like the Brisbane Convention Centre,
Twin Towers, Jupiter's Casino, Radisson Hotel and the Heritage hotel. She has studied music for 17 years
and classical voice for 3 years before moving into Jazz and Pop. nikki was a feature artist on the CD "Hat-Trick".
Nikki also has musical theatre experience in productions which include: "Grease" (Rizzo), "West Side Story",
"Bugsy Malone" and "Pyjama Game." She has also played the role of Elizabeth in "The Crucible". Top Back |

Vocally trained, Nikki has previously played the role of Mary in "Jesus Christ Superstar" for The Southport School
and she was also in their production of "Les Miserables". Nikki has competed extensively and successfully in eisteddfods

Saminda Foley since the age of five has studied piano, ballet and singing and has over fifty eisteddford medals. She sang and toured with the Quensland Youth Choir from 1922 t0 1997.
Saminda has performed in numerous productions with Mercury Youth theatre, Moreton Bay College and Carmel College. For Savoyards she has played the roles of Tevye's daughter in "fiddler on the roof", Miss Snow in "Carousel" and Leisel in "The Sound of Music". Last year Saminda won first place in the Brisbane Musical Theatre Competition
This is a dream come true for Saminda as her greatest passion as a little girl was to be part of a production of "Les Miserables". Top Back |

Charlie is trained in singing/acting, dance, piano, violin and guitar. She has also won numerous awards

this 10 year old with a beautiful soprano voice has most recently appeared in the "Brisbane Gang Show".
Prior to this, Vicki has performed in "The Redlands Revue", "Carousel", "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow", "The Sound of Music" and

Redland's College & St Rita's Primary School Choirs. He already has a string of shoes under his
belt including: "Annie Get Your Gun" (Annie's brother), "Carousel" (Mr Snow's son), "The
Sound of Music" (Kurt) and "My Fair Lady" (singer & tap dancer). An impressive performer, perhaps one day,
